Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0
For our Photoshop Elements test, we used a selection of 400 3Mega Pixel photographs taken in a variety of surroundings using the batch file processing function in the Elements Editor. We performed all of the auto fixes, including Auto Levels, Auto Contrast, Auto Colour and Sharpen before resizing the image to 640x480 and saving as a high quality JPEG.

Time in Seconds (lower is better)
At 800MHz the Corsair is still slightly faster, even though its raw synthetic bandwidth scores aren't quite as high. The Reaper at 1066MHz CAS-5 is the slowest of the lot by around 10 seconds. Even the SLI edition or Reaper overclocked don't perform any faster than the 9600 Kingston or 9200 FlexXLC at native at their native speeds. Even the 9200 FlexXLC at a slight overclock of 1210MHz performs about the same, even with slightly
reduced memory timings of 5-5-5-15 over 1151MHz 5-5-5-18. Compared to the rest of the 1200+MHz memory speeds it's actually 5-10 seconds slower.
File Compression & Encryption:
Our file compression and decompression tests were split into two halves to cover a broad spectrum of performance. The first test we ran was to compress and encrypt the MPEG-2 source file from our video encoding test with the highest quality compression ratio. Secondly, we compressed and encrypted the folder of 400 photographs used in our Photoshop Elements test with the same compression settings.

Time in Seconds (lower is better)
CAS-4 seems to hurt the Reaper and SLI Edition memory quite a bit, but the low latency 800MHz seems to do well all round, especially for the Kingston still. The SLI Edition and 9200 FlexXLC at CAS-3 800MHz seems to do almost as well as the Corsair on average. Again, through the middle ground the performance is about the same and the overclocked SLI Edition memory shows great results, however the overclocked 9200 FlexXLC is again slower than the other modules post 1200MHz.
File Decompression & Decryption:
The two RAR archives created during the compression and encryption tests were then decompressed and decrypted.

Time in Seconds (lower is better)
Decompression and the 9200 FlexXLC doesn't seem to bode well on all accounts of clock speeds and memory timings. None of the 800MHz OCZ seems to keep up with the Corsair and Kingston overall though and the red bars seem to be on average a bit longer all the way through.
